🔧 Repair Overview
Screen Replacement is one of the most common repairs for Huawei P36. This repair involves replacing the damaged display component with a new or refurbished part. The process typically takes 1-2 hours and requires moderate skill level.
What You'll Need
- Replacement display part (OEM or aftermarket)
- Precision screwdriver set (Phillips #000 or pentalobe)
- Opening tools (plastic spudger, suction cup)
- Adhesive strips or glue
- Clean workspace with good lighting
Step-by-Step Process
Step 1: P Smart z 2019
The PSmart z 2019. In contrast to its brothers, the PSmart 2019 and PSmart 2019 Plus, which are in roughly the same price range, a different approach must be observed here.
Step 2: Disassembly
Unlike the 2019 model PSmart, we approach it from behind again and, after removing the Sim slot, place the PSmart Z on the heat plate to soften the glue.
After about 5 minutes you should be able to start. Equipped with a suction cup, a pleg and a spudger, we begin by placing the suction cup on the bottom of the back cover and lifting the back cover so far that we can easily insert the pick.
Danger! Do not insert more than a few millimeters under the cover into the housing.
Depending on the difficulty and time, the opener should be pulled all the way along along the frame and reheated from time to time. See image.
In the direction of the camera, after it is loosened, carefully fold it over like a book and use the plastic spudger to remove the finger sensor connector from the circuit board. See picture 2 and 3
Step 3: Screw removal
Now it's time to remove the screws.
To do this, it is best to have a small magnet mat ready to remove the screws as you take them out. Used for caution when assembling.
So first loosen all the screws and, above all, very importantly, first lift the cover of the battery connector and disconnect the cable from the circuit board. Once the screws have been loosened and removed, use the spudger to carefully separate all contacts from the circuit board.
Particular care must be taken with the screws that connect the pop-up camera to the motor and the frame
Step 4: Prepare and Implement
Now let's take a look at the display unit and first remove all the adhesive strips that are on it and serve as protection.
First things first, let's take the final piece from the last step and place it on the case. So the pop-up camera motor and camera are first screwed to the new frame. Don't forget the cover of the popup vam and especially the stopper of the camera. See picture 2.
If the cam is installed, the circuit board and the main camera are inserted. The first part of the assembly is done by screwing it to the frame at the respective points.
Step 5: Completion
The lower part, the charging circuit board and the speaker Mic. The unit is carefully levered out of the bracket with a spudger and also moved and screwed tight.
Now that all the screws have been tightened and the connectors are connected to the circuit board, we finally apply the adhesive to glue the back cover to the frame.
A functional test to see if everything is working, done.
