🔧 Repair Overview
Screen Replacement is one of the most common repairs for Garmin Fenix 6. This repair involves replacing the damaged display component with a new or refurbished part. The process typically takes 1-2 hours and requires moderate skill level.
What You'll Need
- Replacement display part (OEM or aftermarket)
- Precision screwdriver set (Phillips #000 or pentalobe)
- Opening tools (plastic spudger, suction cup)
- Adhesive strips or glue
- Clean workspace with good lighting
Step-by-Step Process
Step 1:
Orient the watch so that the screen is face up.
Remove the five 6 mm black screws from the perimeter of the watch face using the T5 Torx screwdriver.
Step 2:
Carefully lift up the watch face as it's attached to the motherboard by a ribbon connector.
Detach the black connector from the motherboard.
A spudger can be used if you have trouble prying the piece with your fingers.
Don't pull on the ribbon as it could tear.
When the ribbon is disconnected remove the watch face.
