🔧 Repair Overview
Screen Replacement is one of the most common repairs for ASUS ROG Zephyrus 2023. This repair involves replacing the damaged display component with a new or refurbished part. The process typically takes 1-2 hours and requires moderate skill level.
What You'll Need
- Replacement display part (OEM or aftermarket)
- Precision screwdriver set (Phillips #000 or pentalobe)
- Opening tools (plastic spudger, suction cup)
- Adhesive strips or glue
- Clean workspace with good lighting
Step-by-Step Process
Step 1:
Remove fifteen 10 mm screws from the bottom cover using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
Step 2:
Use a plastic opening tool to separate the back cover from the laptop.
It is recommended that you separate the laptop cover from the side and run the tool along the edge of the cover to open it.
Be careful not to damage the cover when removing it from the laptop.
Step 3:
Remove six 4.8 mm screws that secure the battery using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Step 4:
Disconnect the 8-pin battery that secures the battery to the motherboard.
Use the nylon tipped reverse [product|IF145-020|tweezers] to squeeze the edges, then pull out the connector.
Step 5:
Remove the battery from the computer.
Step 6:
Once the back has been removed, locate this connection cable.
Check to see if the connector is in the pin slot; if not, locate the connector.
Step 7:
If the connection is loose, connect the pins into the slot.
Once the connector is connected, do these steps in reverse.
