Step-by-Step Process
Step 1: iPhone 7 camera lens glass replacement
Use a pair of [product|IF145-020|tweezers] to carefully remove the remains of any broken glass from the cracked camera cover.
While removing the broken glass, be very careful that the glass and your tweezers do not scratch the camera's lens. If the lens is scratched, it may prevent the camera from focusing properly.
Step 2:
Use a soft cloth to clean the camera's lens of small glass shards.
Step 3:
Unlock the phone and open the Camera app.
Test the camera by making sure that it focuses properly and there is no visible residue left on the lens.
If the rear-facing camera continues to have trouble focusing, continue carefully removing glass shards from the camera cover.
If you have removed all glass shards and the camera still does not focus properly, the lens may be scratched. Use the [link|https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/iPhone+7+Rear+Camera+Replacement/75647|iPhone 7 Rear Camera replacement guide] to replace the phone's rear-facing camera.
Step 4:
Use a paperclip to remove the adhesive from around the camera's lens.
Use a soft cloth to remove any residue from the adhesive.
Step 5:
Install a new camera cover and attach it using silicone-based adhesive.
Make sure not to apply too much adhesive to the camera cover. If too much adhesive is applied, it may obstruct the camera's lens.
Press gently on the newly installed camera cover to securely attach the cover.
