🔧 Repair Overview
Vibration Motor Repair is one of the most common repairs for Huawei Watch GT 5. This repair involves replacing the damaged haptic component with a new or refurbished part. The process typically takes 30 min - 1 hour and requires easy skill level.
What You'll Need
- Replacement haptic part (OEM or aftermarket)
- Precision screwdriver set (Phillips #000 or pentalobe)
- Opening tools (plastic spudger, suction cup)
- Adhesive strips or glue
- Clean workspace with good lighting
Step-by-Step Process
Step 1: Remove the watch band
Before starting repairs, take your watch off the charger and power it down.
Remove the watch band.
Step 2: Unfasten the back cover screws
Remove the four 3.7 mm-long Torx T2 screws securing the back cover.
Step 3: Pry up the rear panel
Insert the edge of a spudger into the the loudspeaker opening at the bottom edge of your watch.
When prying up the back cover put a finger on top or the edge of it and hold it down. Too much force during the prying procedure may lead to popping off the back cover too quickly and tearing the rear panel assembly cable.
The plastic clamps holding the back cover in place sit very tight and may require some force during the prying procedure.
Use a spudger to pry up the rear panel of your Huawei watch GT 3.
Don't try to remove the back cover assembly all the way yet, it's still connected to the daughterboard.
Step 4: Swing open the rear panel assembly
Carefully swing the rear panel assembly open to an upward position.
