Step-by-Step Process
Step 1:
Turn off your cell phone before disassembling.
Step 2:
Remove the two 1.17mm Torx T3 screws from the bottom of the phone.
Step 3:
Use the Sim card ejection tool to remove both the sim card trays.
Step 4:
To prepare the iOpener insert it in the microwave for 30 seconds and apply it on the side edges of the phone so that the glue underneath will soften.
Step 5:
Pry off the back with a plastic opening tool.
Step 6:
Remove the pink sticker.
Step 7:
Remove the three 1.5mm Phillips #000 screws.
Step 8:
Use a plastic opening tool to disconnect the orange and black battery cables from the motherboard.
Step 9:
Remove the battery from the phone.
Step 10:
Remove the five 1.5mm Phillips #000 screws from the motherboard.
Step 11:
Use a plastic opening tool to pry up and disconnect the display cable from the motherboard.
Use [product|IF145-020|tweezers] to disconnect the white coax cable.
Use tweezers to disconnect the power and volume cable.
Step 12:
Remove the motherboard.
Step 13:
Use the [product|IF145-020|tweezers] to pull the button assembly from the small black clips on the back plate of the phone.
