Push the button under the steering wheel to open the trunk.

Keep the workplace clear of any items that might be in your way.

Step 3:

Step 3 - Image 2

Pull out ++all the clips ++that hold the trunk lining. The clips have an inner circle and an outer circle. To remove them, pull up the inner circle.

The clips are difficult to remove by hand. To facilitate the process, get a flathead screwdriver and nudge it between the two circles. Then drive the head upwards until you see a separation between the circles.

Step 4:

Step 4 - Image 2

Pull the yellow emergency trunk release handle so that it’s loose.

Pull it towards you and to the left so you can pass the ++emergency trunk release handle ***through ***the lining ++so it’s completely off.

A helpful tip is to keep constant pulling strength until you see metal through the lining (black square). At that point start pulling down and left until you see the lining above the plastic.

Remove the trunk lining.

Step 5:

Disconnect the tail light connector by pushing down on the big square in the connector and pulling to the opposite side to which it is connected.

Unscrew the four bolts for the tail light.

Remove the tail light with care (close the trunk if necessary).

Step 6:

Step 6 - Image 2

Separate the light bulb holder from the tail light cover by twisting the plug to the left and then pulling up.

This step might take a lot of tries and strength; it is a hard part to remove

Pull out the bulb from its casing by pulling the bulb up and moving it side to side as you pull. Do this with care.

Install the replacement.

Step 7:

Step 7 - Image 1
Step 7 - Image 2

Put everything back on in the reversed order shown.

When putting back the trunk lining, make sure the plastic part that holds the yellow pulley is over the lining and not under. Nudge the plastic part through the lining.

This step mighty be difficult; you can use the screw driver to help push the lining under the plastic.

An easier way to put the trunk lining clips back on is to place both your thumbs to the lower circle, put it in the slot, and then push the second circle.
