🔧 Repair Overview

Tire Rotation is one of the most common repairs for 2023 Ford Mustang. This repair involves replacing the damaged tires component with a new or refurbished part. The process typically takes 30-45 min and requires easy skill level.

🔧 Required Tools

🔩 Replacement Parts

What You'll Need

  • Replacement tires part (OEM or aftermarket)
  • Precision screwdriver set (Phillips #000 or pentalobe)
  • Opening tools (plastic spudger, suction cup)
  • Adhesive strips or glue
  • Clean workspace with good lighting

Step-by-Step Process

Step 1:

Open and empty your glove box.

Step 2:

Step 2 - Image 1

Look to the right side of the glove box to find a lever. Pull up on the lever and then push it to the right. The lever should pop right off.

Be gentle in this step because you do not want to break this piece as it holds the glovebox in place.

Step 3:

With a hand on either side, push inward from the sides of the glovebox. This will allow the glovebox to fall down completely, giving us access to the cabin air filter.

Step 4:

Lift up the little flap and look closely, you will see a little T20 Torx screw that is holding the air filter cover in place.

Step 5:

Get your T20 Torx screwdriver and remove the screw.

Due to the limited space, it may be difficult to use the screwdriver. I found that you can pass the screwdriver from the bottom of the glove box where one's feet would be in the passenger seat.

To remove a screw, remember to twist to the left, and to tighten a screw, twist to the right.

Step 6:

Gently pull down on the cover to reveal the air filter.

Gently remove the cabin air filter and put in your new one.

Pay attention to how your air filter comes out. This is important so that you know which way to put in your new air filter.
