Step-by-Step Process
Step 1:
Get into the passenger seat and locate the glove compartment.
Pull the handle to open the glove compartment.
Empty out all items found inside the glove compartment.
Step 2:
Make sure you have a full view of the glove compartment.
Squeeze each the four latches found at the top of the compartment and gently pull down.
The latches should be pulled in order from right to left.
Step 3:
Gently pull the upper panel of the glove compartment out.
Step 4:
Pinch the two tabs together found on the top and bottom of the protective covering of the cabin air filter.
The cabin air filter will pop out of place.
Step 5:
Slowly pull the cabin air filter out.
On the front right of the protective cover, air flow is labeled with an arrow pointing downwards, indicating that the cabin air filter is correctly positioned.
Step 6:
Insert the new cabin air filter back into the compartment.
Check to see that the air filter is properly positioned before inserting.
If the cabin air filter is placed incorrectly, your A/C will not filter the air properly.
The cabin air filter should click back into place.
Step 7:
Insert the upper panel of the glove compartment back into place.
Line up each of the four tabs on the bottom of the upper panel to their matching pockets, ensuring that the panel is put back into place properly.
Step 8:
