Step-by-Step Process

Step 1: Open Hood

Open Hood: Open the hood using the hood latch inside the driver side of the car.

The hood will open slightly, reach under the front center of the hood to find the release latch.

Push the release latch to the right to open the hood.

Step 2: Disconnect Car Battery

Disconnect Battery: Use an adjustable wrench to disconnect the negative power from the battery (Turn bolt counter-clockwise, then lift).

WARNING: Be careful when disconnecting battery terminals. Ensure vehicle connections are positioned to avoid contact with the battery terminals to prevent electric shock.

Tilt Mirror Forward and Disconnect Mirror: Locate lock tabs behind the mirror. Apply pressure to all three tabs until the mirror unlatches and you can remove it.

Step 4: Unscrew Backing

Unscrew Backing: Locate and unscrew 4 Torx T20 bolts holding backing and disconnect it from the mirror.

Step 5: Pull backing off

Remove backing.

Be careful not to pull on electric wires to avoid damaging internal components of the mirror.

Step 6: Disconnect Old Blinker Light

Remove old mirror blinker light from the mirror frame.

Disconnect the plug from the rear of the blinker light.

Step 7: Install New Mirror Blinker Light

Install New Mirror Blinker Light: Slide new light into the mirror and press firmly until you hear a click.

Connect new blinker light by plugging wire into the back of the blinker light.

Step 9: Reconnect Battery and Testing
