Step-by-Step Process
Step 1:
Pull the hood release in the lower left of the driver's side of your car.
Lift the hood of your car until it stays up on its own.
Step 2:
Use any size flathead screwdriver to remove the screw plugs that are holding down the engine cover.
Step 3:
Remove the bottom engine cover.
Step 4:
Use a 1/4" flathead screwdriver to remove the screw holding down the top engine cover.
Step 5:
Remove the side engine cover.
Step 6:
Use a 10 mm wrench to remove the washer fluid tube.
Step 7:
Locate the headlight bulb's cover.
Step 8:
Push the metal bar down to release the cover.
Step 9:
Remove the bulb cover.
Step 10:
Twist the headlight bulb cap counterclockwise (1/4 turn) to detach.
Step 11:
Push the metal clips inward to release the headlight bulb.
Pull the bull out of the socket.
Step 12:
Insert the new headlight bulb.
Make sure not to touch the glass part with your hands. This can cause a hot spot on the bulb, making it burn out faster. Use gloves to avoid oil and salt transfer to the bulb.
