Step-by-Step Process
Step 1:
Open the hood of your Corolla by pulling the hinge at the bottom of your dash and hold it up using the hood lift support.
Pull the hinge in the lower part of your driver-side dashboard. It should have an icon of a vehicle with its hood up.
Once you pull it, open up the hood and use the support located at the center of the engine bay to hold the hood up.
Step 2:
Find air filter box and unclip the clips on the air filter's sides.
Take your hand to the clips and pull them slightly. You can remove the top of the air filter box if done right.
Step 3:
Hold the air filter top up and pull out the old air filter.
Once old air filter is removed, get your new one and line up the square corner of the filter with the square corner of the air filter box.
Insert the new air filter with this orientation.
Step 4:
Clip back the clips on the sides of the air filter box to close it.
Congratulations, you have successfully replaced the air filter in your Corolla.
