Step-by-Step Process

Update your phone’s operating system and restart your phone. Make sure your phone is updated to the most recent version of IOS, Android, etc. to ensure your phone is fully able to run the Apple CarPlay app.

It would also be a good idea at this point to go ahead and make sure your Apple CarPlay app is up to date as well.

Clean out the phone’s charging port using WD-40 Electrical Contact Cleaner Spray or a similar product. Wait a few minutes to allow the charging port to dry off before reinserting the charging cable back into the charging port.

Using WD-40 will not only ensure the cleanliness of your charging port but using it regularly will also ensure your charging port will remain smooth and corrosion-free thereby ensuring a smooth fit for your USB cable and adapter.

Replace the charging cable in vehicle. Make sure the charging port is completely dry and remove all dirt, dust, grime, and debris.

Navigate through your Honda's dashboard settings and pull up the System Settings. Continue to navigate until you find a setting for "Factory Reset"

Once the Factory Reset prompt appears on your screen, select yes and wait a few minutes for your system to reset and return to default settings.

Once the Dashboard interface system has completed its' Factory Reset, turn of your Honda Accord and wait a few minutes to restart your vehicle.
