🔧 Repair Overview
Headlight Bulb Replacement is one of the most common repairs for 2015 Nissan Altima. This repair involves replacing the damaged lighting component with a new or refurbished part. The process typically takes 15-30 min and requires easy skill level.
What You'll Need
- Replacement lighting part (OEM or aftermarket)
- Precision screwdriver set (Phillips #000 or pentalobe)
- Opening tools (plastic spudger, suction cup)
- Adhesive strips or glue
- Clean workspace with good lighting
Step-by-Step Process
Step 1:
Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left or right to grant access to the fender line. (Or in our case for better display, remove the wheel.)
Step 2:
Remove the fender liner using flathead screwdrivers by unscrewing all 3 locations holding fender liner to front bumper.
Step 3:
Now go to the underside of the fender liner and remove the three bolts using the Phillips screwdriver and flathead for the 1 clip.
Use same flathead screwdriver technique for the flathead highlighted in green.
Step 4:
Grab the small hole on the underside of the fender, and carefully pull the panel out.
This allows you to access the rear of the headlight housing.
Step 5:
Turn the lightbulb holder counter clockwise until it is released from the headlight
Step 6:
Pull up on the tab on the back of the bulb holder and simultaneously pull the light bulb out.
Step 7:
Replace the lightbulb by putting the new in place of the old one that was just removed.
Remember to insert the new light you must once again lift the tab while simultaneously inserting the new light bulb.
