🔧 Repair Overview

Air Filter Replacement is one of the most common repairs for 2015 Honda Civic. This repair involves replacing the damaged engine component with a new or refurbished part. The process typically takes 15-20 min and requires easy skill level.

What You'll Need

  • Replacement engine part (OEM or aftermarket)
  • Precision screwdriver set (Phillips #000 or pentalobe)
  • Opening tools (plastic spudger, suction cup)
  • Adhesive strips or glue
  • Clean workspace with good lighting

Step-by-Step Process

Locate the "hood open" lever on the driver's side of the inside of the car, below the dashboard. Pull lever toward you. You will hear a "click." Go to the front of the car. The hood should be "popped" slightly. Reach under the hood, find a lever, and move the lever to the left. This will completely release the hood latch.
