🔧 Repair Overview
Windshield Wiper Replacement is one of the most common repairs for 2014 Nissan Versa. This repair involves replacing the damaged maintenance component with a new or refurbished part. The process typically takes 10-15 min and requires easy skill level.
What You'll Need
- Replacement maintenance part (OEM or aftermarket)
- Precision screwdriver set (Phillips #000 or pentalobe)
- Opening tools (plastic spudger, suction cup)
- Adhesive strips or glue
- Clean workspace with good lighting
Step-by-Step Process
Step 1:
Lift up the windshield wiper arm to work comfortably.
Insert the flat end of a spudger in the bottom of the nozzle and push, just a little.
Step 2:
Using your fingers, take the nozzle and pull it up until you can see the hose.
Step 3: A short skill to remove the Nozzle
It could be difficult to separate the nozzle from the hose. Because of that, you can use this skill. You are going to need a cloth rag and hot water.
First, set the cloth around the hose.
Next, pour the hot water over the cloth. Do not harm yourself!
Step 4:
Take out the cloth.
Using the flat end of a spudger, start to separate the nozzle from the hose.
***WHILE OPERATING AT DRIVER'S SIDE:*** When removing the nozzle, do not release the hose. If it falls into the hole, it could be very difficult to retrieve.
Use your thumb to keep the end of the hose outside.
Make sure you have the replacement nozzle at hand.
