Step-by-Step Process
Step 1:
Start by pressing down on the button that opens the center arm-rest.
Pop each side of the silver trim using the trim removal tool or a plastic opening tool.
Remove the silver trim.
Step 2:
Remove the two 20 mm screws securing the center console with a T20 Torx screwdriver.
Step 3:
Make sure there aren't any loose articles in the center storage compartment.
Lift the end of the center-console and flip it to reveal the undercarriage of the center-dial touchpad and its wirings.
Step 4:
Press your thumb on the safety tab to remove each blue connection.
Step 5:
Press down on the center of the white connection in the middle and slide the safety latch to the left to pull out the main white connection.
Step 6:
Remove the two 15 mm T15 Torx screws holding the center-dial touchpad.
Firmly press the center-dial touchpad out to remove the unit.
