🔧 Repair Overview
Brake Pad Replacement is one of the most common repairs for 2012 Hyundai Tucson. This repair involves replacing the damaged brakes component with a new or refurbished part. The process typically takes 1-2 hours and requires moderate skill level.
What You'll Need
- Replacement brakes part (OEM or aftermarket)
- Precision screwdriver set (Phillips #000 or pentalobe)
- Opening tools (plastic spudger, suction cup)
- Adhesive strips or glue
- Clean workspace with good lighting
Step-by-Step Process
Step 1:
Enter the car and turn on the coldest and most powerful A/C you can.
Make sure the A/C button is on.
Step 2:
Pop the hood open on the left side of the driver’s seat.
Secure the hood with the pole brace found on the left side of the engine near the low pressure fill port.
Step 3:
Screw the hose to the top of the R134a refrigerant. Screw to the right until failure. Remove low pressure fill cap.
Step 4:
With the A/C blowing cold and strong, attach the adapter at the end of the hose to the low pressure fill port.
Once the adapter is securely fastened, pull and hold the trigger with the bottle upside down.
You will begin to feel the bottle get cold. This is the refrigerant becoming activated.
