Step-by-Step Process
Step 1:
Use a washer or opening tool in the gap on the right-hand side of the key fob to pry the top case off of the fob.
Work your way around the edge of the fob with the opening tool to release the clips of the case.
Step 2:
After separating the key fob, you'll see the battery on the side of the fob with the key attached.
Step 3:
Use an opening tool to pry the battery out of the key fob.
Step 4:
Next, insert the new CR2032 3V battery into the key fob where the old one was located.
Step 5:
Place the cover back on the fob and snap it into place. Once you hear the click, the repair is complete!
